Sawai Man Singh Stadium, located in the heart of Pink City, Jaipur is one of the prime sport centers in India. After its Inauguration on 4th November, 1963 by Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, then Prime Minister of India, the stadium has seen many national and international events. As far as the game of Cricket is concerned, the stadium has hosted one test match, seven one day internationals and many Ranji trophy and National matches till date.

The one day international between India and Pakistan on 24th March,1999 will be the 8th international one day match. The turf, first laid in 1969 for a match between Australia and Western Zone, is surely one of the better ones in India and the wicket is truely a green top.
