The State of Rajasthan was formed nearly 50 years back by merging 22 erstwhile princely States. Ever since then Rajasthan has made impressive progress to become a modern dynamic State. The Government of the State is celebrating this year the Golden Jubilee of its formation.

Rajasthan has always been rich historically and culturally. Wherever the people of our State have gone and in whichever field they have worked, they have left an indelible imprint. Rajasthanis everywhere have acquired a reputation as sincere, hardworking and devoted persons throughout the word and as we look back over the last 50 years, all of us have a sense of pride and fulfillment.

The Rajasthan Golden Jubilee Celebrations Committee headed by the Hon'ble Chief Minister, Shri Ashok Gehlot has decided to hold a Mega event called "International Rajasthan Conclave-2000" on 23^rd and 24^th September, 2000 at Jaipur. At this event, the State will honour and recognize those Rajasthanis who have brought glory to the State by their achievement or contribution in any walk of life. This event will also showcase the march of Rajasthan into modern progressive State. This occasion will provide an excellent opportunity for all of us to know and renew old association with each other.
